Chard businesses to get help with broadband

BUSINESSES in and around Chard that are having difficulty receiving broadband or require high speed broadband could benefit from a grant to help them get connected.

Connecting Somerset has collaborated with South Somerset Together and sought support from South Somerset District Council to help fund a wireless broadband initiative which will provide high-speed internet access across the town.

Work to expand the broadband infrastructure is currently going ahead and grants to assist towards installation could now be available to businesses that are able to receive the service.
