Search is on for carnival pair

THE search is on to find this year’s Miss Chard and Princess for Chard Carnival.

The competition will be launched on July 6 and run until August 17 – for further information contact Emma Cox on 01460-65832 or visit Sue’s Flowers in Boden Street, Chard.

The Carnival Princess must be aged at least five and the upper age limit is 11. Miss Chard must be 11 or over with no upper limit but entrants for both categories must live in the Chard and district area.

Emma, on behalf of Chard and district carnival committee, said: “We would like to hear from anyone interested in entering either competition.”
