New chief exec at South Somerset Homes

SOUTH Somerset Homes has appointed a new chief executive to lead its management team.

Mike Kay, formerly a director of Asset Management, has taken up the position and has already started to implement changes which will deliver the company’s new strategies, launched earlier this month, to take the business forward.

“These are very exciting times for us,” he said. “We have the community at the heart of our business and will strive to demonstrate that, particularly in these difficult times, we are considerate and flexible in the delivery of services that our residents deserve.

“Our main focus will continue to be in providing homes in which people are proud to live, and a place where people are happy to work.”

Working with Mr Kay will be executive directors Caroline Moore and David Mansfield and they will be supported by a newly-formed team of five assistant directors, who will have a hands-on involvement in the day-to-day running of the business.
