Annual festive competition in Chard

CHRISTMAS is coming and some people in Chard will be putting up glorious decorations outside their homes.

The News is once again holding a competition, along with Mayor Cllr Martin Wale, to find the best Christmas decorated house in the town.

Cllr Wale and News chief reporter Steve Sowden will tour Chard to look at the festive creations and award a cup to the winner.

To enter your decorated house in this annual competition write to the Chard and Ilminster News, 3a Fore Street, Chard, Somerset TA20 1PH or e-mail newsdesk@chardand ilminsternews.co.uk with your name, full address and telephone contact numbers.

Entries must be in by 12noon on Monday, December 15. Judging is on the evening of Thursday, December 18.
