Flag flies at half-mast in memory of Cllr Smith

Comments (0)THE flag is currently flying at half-mast above the Guildhall in Chard following the announcement of the death of former Mayor, Cllr Jean Smith.
It is understood that Cllr Smith died suddenly at home overnight.
Cllr Smith , who had represented Chard at town and district councils for many years, served the community until the last.
She was in attendance at last night's meeting of South Somerset District Council's Area West committee at Crowshute House in Chard.
