Elderly couple in accident at Combe St Nicholas

TWO fire engines from Chard and Ilminster and one rescue tender from Taunton were mobilised this morning to reports of an accident at Priddy Oak near Combe St Nicholas.

The alarm was raised at 10.18am and on arrival crews confirmed there was one elderly man and one elderly woman trapped in a vehicle.

Crews released them using hydraulic cutting equipment and they were taken to hospital via ambulance.
