Appeal after cat is found dead

A CHARD man is appealing for the owners of a cat found dead in the Mitchell Gardens area of the town over the weekend to come forward.

Roy Kibble-White discovered the cat, which was not wearing a collar, on Saturday, after it had apparently been run over.

He said: "It lay outside Springmead Surgery all day where a lot of people would have seen it but no-one claimed the body.

"Rather than leave it there I took it home and laid it in my garden."

The cat has been described as large, white and short-haired.
