Motorist seriously injured following collision

A MOTORIST has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in the early hours of this morning (Monday).
Emergency crews attended the scene at Higher Wambrook, near Chard, at around 5.30am.
An ambulance was called to transport the casualty to Musgrove Hospital, Taunton.
The cause of the incident, involving one car, has not yet been confirmed.
