Help to trace your family tree

PEOPLE in Chard hoping to trace their ancestors have been given a head start thanks to Somerset Adult Learning and Leisure.

A series of family history courses will be running at Chard Adult Learning Centre at Holyrood Community School from Thursday, February 28.

The 10-week classes range from beginners, which will show people how to use tools such as birth certificates and census records, to advanced, where more unusual sources will be studied.

The times are as follows: Beginners - 12.30-2pm Pre 1837 Records - 10.15am - 12.15pm Advanced - 2.45pm - 4.45pm To sign up for any of the classes contact the Chard office on 01460-63900.
