Tune up for musicians competition

THE Rotary Club of Chard are getting ready for this year's Young Musicians of the Year Competition.

Members are appealing for talented youngsters to get their competition entries in by next Saturday (February 23).

Entrants must aged 18 or under and live within a 20-mile radius of Chard.

advertisement The competition, which will be divided into two sections, will be held in the chapel of Chard Independent School on Saturday March 1.

Competitors will be expected to play a piece of their choice and each will receive a certificate of participation.

Group winners will receive a certificate, shield and £25 with two runners up receiving a certificate, trophy and £15.
