Chard Carnival needs you!

THE annual meeting and presentation night of Chard Carnival Committee will be held today (Monday) and organisers are looking for more support.

The meeting takes place at the Guildhall on from 7.30pm where officials will be handing out cheques to various charitable organisations with proceeds from last year's ever-successful Carnival procession.

Committee chairman Nigel Tinley said that everyone is welcome to attend the meeting - especially those people who would like to get more involved with the Carnival.

He said that the Carnivalites would like to see more people come forward to offer their services by sitting on the committee.

"We would really like to have extra people join the committee," he said.
