CARNIVAL clubs throughout the Chard and Ilminster area are being urged to let us know your news and fundraising events.

The News will be running the second of its monthly Carnival features on Wednesday, February 20, but we need your help.

Clubs are already turning their thoughts to this year's processions and if you are involved with a local group and want some publicity then we are here to help.

* ZEM Carnival Club, of Chard, will be holding its annual prize bingo on Saturday, February 23, at Crowshute House.

Doors open at 6.30pm with 'eyes down' at 7.30pm with bingo caller John Sweet and entry is free. Prizes include a Hetty vacuum cleaner kindly donated by Numatic International.

There will also be a raffle and refreshments available.

* GEMINI Carnival Club, of Ilminster, will be holding a fundraising jumble sale at the Parish Hall in Ilminster on Saturday, February 9, from 10am.
