Braving the pain for cancer charity

TWO Chard businesses teamed up to donate nearly £500 to Breast Cancer Care this week.

Pure Beauty and Phoenix Fitness raised £454.51 from a sponsored legs wax last year.

Becky Curwood and Suzanne Jeffrey from Pure Beauty took time out from the salon to wax the legs of Phoenix Fitness trainers Simon Lunn and Ben Warwick who braved the pain for charity in October.

The two businesses handed over the cheque to Breast Cancer Care peer support volunteer, Belle Bilding on Friday, after collecting donations from customers and friends.

Both businesses would like to thank everyone who contributed to the cause.
