Top role for Chard accountant

A CHARD accountant has been appointed as a director of Lentells Ltd, one of the largest accountancy groups in Somerset.

Jo Fursman's new role, which will see her in charge of a mixed portfolio including medical practices, limited companies and sole traders.

She joined Lentells as a trainee in 1996, gained further experience with another firm, where she also qualified as a certified accountant, before rejoining the company in 2002.

Jo (pictured), 31, has played a key part in developing the company's medical division, now believed to be one of the biggest specialist medical accountancy divisions in the South West.

She will remain based at the firm's Chard office.

Philip Bedford, chairman of Lentells, said: "We are delighted that expansion has given us the opportunity to award a directorship to Jo.

"Her contribution to the growth of the Chard office over the past few years, especially in the growth of the specialist medical division, has been considerable and she is highly respected by her clients."
