PEOPLE in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne are being urged to walk together for Cancer Research UK's Stride for Life event.
The sponsored event is set to take place on October 28 in and around Montacute House near Yeovil to help boost the coffers for the charity.
Cancer Research's UK event co-ordinator Dawn Harrison said: "We're urging individuals, couples and families to join together and step out in Montacute's Stride for Life to help Cancer Research UK support scientific research into the causes of breast cancer and better treatments for the future."
The Stride for Life is part of a group of sponsored walks taking place across the UK for people of all ages and abilities to help raise money for vital research into breast cancer. Distances vary from 12km walks to 3km strolls suitable for the smallest toddler.
There is a registration fee of £6 for adults and £3 for children under 16, which covers all the administration and organisational costs of the event, which means that all sponsorship money raised goes directly into research.
To take part, call 08701-60204 or register online by clicking on the link below.
