Councillors agree in 'principle'

CHARD Town Council has agreed in principle' to hand over a strip of land to help in the widening of a footpath.
Councillors last week heard that South Somerset District Council had been in contact asking for the land at Essex Close.
It was agreed to go-ahead with negotiations, as long as the district authority would be prepared to meet all the legal costs for the handing over.
