Maria and Jack say a big thank you for the kindness

THE former partner of a South Chard man who was tragically killed in a motorbike accident has thanked everybody for their kindness.

Jeff Tennant, 48, died after the motorcycle he was on was involved in a collision with a tractor and trailer on the B3167 at Perry Street on July 31.

His former partner Maria Husson, who despite splitting up a couple of years ago had remained close friends, has told the News that she and their son, Jack, 17, have been overwhelmed with cards and messages of support from people.

"Jack and I would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us with their kind messages and visits during this difficult time," she said.

Since the tragedy, Maria and Jack have taken over the running of the Buffers Model Railways which was set up by Jeff at the Colston Cross Service Station in Axminster.
