Lights committee is congratulated

THE Mayor has congratulated the Chard Christmas Lights Committee on its successful charity night.

Cllr Martin Wale and his wife, Nanette, joined several hundred people for the Concert Under the Stars event held at Tatworth Old Vicarage earlier this month which raised £1,100.

"It was a great success and I'd like to congratulate chairman Jill Watts and her committee for getting all the acts together," he said.
