THE Prostate Cancer Charity is offering people in the Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne area a unique opportunity to win £10,000 and be part of a new record breaking fundraising event - The Great British Duck Race.
The charity's community fundraising manager Claire Carlin has asked people to 'adopt' a rubber duck to take part in the race in a bid to break a Guinness World Record on September 2.
The event hopes to see over 165,000 rubber ducks making the 1km journey along the River Thames at Hampton Court, Surrey, to secure a world record.
Each duck adopted and entered will be individually numbered and the owner of the first duck to cross the finish line will win £10,000.
Closing date to adopt a duck is August 31.
Ducks cost £2 each plus a suggested donation of £3.
