A MOTHER and daughters team will be trekking hard to raise money for premature babies at Yeovil Hospital this weekend.
Suzanna, Sophie and Becky Higgins of Chard, will be walking the 18 miles from the town to Yeovil on Sunday.
The threesome decided to take on the challenge to help well-known Yeovil fundraisers, Flo and Jim Essex, reach their £6,000 target to provide a specially equip bed for the premature baby unit at the hospital.
They will be setting off at 10am and will finish when they reach Jim and Flo's home in West Coker Road, Yeovil.
They are looking forward to the challenge and have already raised around £400 for the fund.
Suzanna and her daughters have had special t-shirts printed by Sunproof, who also sponsored them £200, and they would like to thank all businesses in Chard and Ilminster who have sponsored them.
Suzanna said: "We've had quite a bit of support from local companies who have donated all sorts of items, which we hope to raffle off to boost the funds.
"We've been training a bit - going for lots of walks in the country, but we'll have to wait and see how it goes."
For more information, or to help them reach their target, call Suzanna on 01460-64244.
