A MAN from London has appeared in court facing allegations of drug dealing involving the supply of class A drugs in Chard.

Andre Etienne, 21, of New Kings Road, was in the dock before Somerset Magistrates sitting at Yeovil.

He was charged that on December 13, 2016, at Chard, jointly with Neil Dunn, he had in his possession a quantity of cocaine (class A) with intent to supply it to another.

He was further alleged, jointly with the same co-defendant, to have been in possession of a quantity of heroin (class A) with intent to supply to another.

Etienne did not enter pleas to either of the offences and the magistrates said they were so serious that they were sending him straight to Taunton Crown Court to be dealt with.

He was ordered to appear before a pre trial hearing at Taunton on May 14 and until then he was released on unconditional bail.

His co-defendant, Neil Dunn, 45, of Brunel Close, Northolt, Ealing, did not turn up for the court hearing and a warrant without bail was issued for his arrest.
