CHARD firefighters rescued two people and three dogs after their car became stuck in floodwater.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 11.55pm (March 14) to the A303 near Uppotery following a request from the police to assist them in rescuing motorists stuck in a car in floodwater.
Two fire engines from Chard went to the incident.
When firefighters arrived they found two people and three dogs in the car.
Firefighters donned dry suits and waded out to rescue the people from the car.
