Last chance for drugs awards

TIME is running out for people in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne to submit nominations for the Home Office national awards scheme to find the drug worker and team of the year.

The Tackling Drugs Changing Lives Awards are open to all public and voluntary sector workers in the UK who have taken direct positive action to tackle drug issues in the local community.

Colleagues, friends, family members and current or ex-service users are being urged to get any last minute nominations in by the closing date Friday, August 17.

An award for the individual and team are available, with each winner receiving £10,000 for their organisation.
