FUNDRAISERS in Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne are being asked to sign up for the first ever Marie Curie Dartmoor Challenge.
The event is due to take place on September 9, with participants completing a circular route around Dartmoor.
The route will begin in the village of Widecombe-in-the-Moor in the heart of Dartmoor, walkers will learn the local legend of Jay's grave where you'll hear the sad tale of Kitty Jay and the mystery mourner who ensures fresh flowers are always placed at her graveside.
Entry is £10 per person and all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £100 which will help provide Marie Curie nursing care for terminally ill care patients.
