VILLAGE halls and venues will be alive with history as a King Henry VIII impersonator starts his rural tour.
Mike Farley is one of Britain's leading Henry VIII impersonators using a mix of history and humour on his tours of schools, clubs and events.
Mike's show, Good King Hal, will be performed at the Seavington Millennium Hall August 13, Stoke sub Hamden Memorial Hall August 16, East Coker village hall August 20 and Norton Sub Hamden village hall August 21.
Shows will take place at 3pm and last around an hour. They are aimed mostly at children around junior school age, although there is something for everyone.
The audience can also have a chance to take part in some hobbyhorse jousting.
Adults £3.50, children under 14, 50p.
Good King Hal will also be at Barrington Court on August 18 and 19 strolling around the gardens and meeting visitors from 12noon-4pm.
