A CHARD couple are set to swap country life for city living this month as they leave to work for the London City Mission.
Paul and Sheila Dimon, who have been active members of the Forefront Community Church for 28 years, are upping sticks and moving to London to help the mission spread the word of Christianity on August 13.
The group works in some of London's poorest areas and Paul and Sheila will be team leaders for the gap year scheme, which gives practical, pastoral and spiritual support to the team of 18-30 year olds working in different centres across the city.
Andrew Conlan, from the Forefront Centre, said: "They have been a real help and encouragement to so many people, and will therefore be missed, but I am sure they will be great parents' for the gap year team members.
"We will be praying for them as a church on Sunday August 12 and everyone is welcome to join us for that, with a barbeque to follow."
