A FIRE broke out in a classroom in Chard in the early hours of the morning.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews were called to 3 Dimensions School based at Chardleigh House in Wadeford, Chard.
Engines from Chard and Ilminster were called around 12.34am to reports of a fire involving a consumer board (electrical distribution board) at a single-storey classroom.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one safety jet, a thermal imaging camera, a CO2 monitor and small tools to extinguish the fire.
The consumer board was 100 per cent damaged and the rest of the building was slightly smoke damaged.
The electricity to the building was isolated to make it safe.
A spokesman for 3 Dimensions said: "Everything is perfectly fine.
"It was a very minor incident that was fixed within the day."
