MORE THAN 30 people have completed an 18 mile military march across Somerset countryside for an A303 crash victim.
The event was organised by Liz Wallis, a personal trainer at Chard 1610, and her son Tom, and money raised has been given to William Mieville-Hawkins.
William, a 26-year-old teacher from Ilminster, suffered a life-changing brain injury in a crash last year and in March his NHS funded support stopped.
He said: βIt is quite frankly astonishing that all of these people are prepared to go through this in order to raise money for me.
βI can only thank every single one of them but particularly Liz and Tom for their extraordinary work in organising it.β
William even completed the final mile with the squad, a long way from being unable to walk nine months ago. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/william-mieville-hawkins.
