The pool at Cresta Leisure Centre on Zembard Lane was closed yesterday and will remain shut until at least December 1.

A spokesperson for the centre said: "A Somerset County Council Scientific Services team will be on site on Monday, November 28, to investigate problems with the ventilation system at the pool.

"The facility will remain closed until at least Thursday December 1 when the results of the tests are expected 1610, the pool leisure operator has informed members and community groups who use the pool about the closure and apologises for any inconvenience that the closure may cause and it is also grateful for their understanding and patience in regard to this matter.

The pool is an ongoing issue as it estimated that it needs repairs which would cost around £1 million.
