TROUBLE: Police and fire crews are awaiting support from Western Power utilities as a power line is down on the B3162 Forton Road near Chard
DRIVERS in Chard might be facing a few delays this afternoon after a digger dragged down an overhead power cable.
Fire and police crews are currently on Forton Road after receiving reports that a ower cable had accidentally been dragged down onto the B3162 by a large mechanical digger that was carrying out works nearby.
Crews are at present making the area safe and awaiting the arrival of a Western Power utilities team to attend and assist in isolating the cable.
Police are also in attendance to assist with traffic duties given the nature and location of the incident.
