FIRE crews were rushed to a residential home in Chard this afternoon after reports of a tumble dryer fire.
Fire engines from Chard, Ilminster and Axminster were sent to Sunnymeade Home in Helliers Close at around 12.45pm today (November 17).
An operational assurance officer was also sent to the scene.
The fire was discovered to have been in a tumble dryer within the laundry area of a residential home.
The fire was out on arrival and confined to the tumble dryer. There was 10 per cent damage to laundry room.
Crews extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and a thermal image camera.
The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental.
