THERE'S still traffic queuing on the A303 following a crash thos afternoon.
There's heavy traffic westbound between Prophet's Lane in Stoke sub Hamdon and Southfields Roundabout in Ilminster.
A person had to be removed via a spinal board following the crash.
The crash happened just before 3pm today (August 15) on the A303 westbound between Prophet's Lane in Stoke sub Hamdon and Southfields Roundabout in Ilminster.
Firefighters from Martock, Crewkerne and Yeovil attended the incident between a car and a heavy goods vehicle.
The casualty was treated by Ambulance crews after being removed via a spinal board.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called to a collision between a car and a lorry.
"The driver of the car had to be extricated by the fire service and has been taken to Yeovil District Hospital although he is not thought to be seriously injured."
The road was closed for an hour, and although all lanes have now re-opened there is still a lot of traffic in the area.
