St Mary's Church looking for new bell ringers
A CHURCH in Chard is appealing to the public to come forward and learn the ropes as new bell ringers.
The tower at St Marys contains a ring of eight bells.
The bells are rung regularly for Sunday worship, weddings and festive occasions.
Sunday ringing takes place between 9.30am and 10am and regular weekly practice and training sessions take place on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.00pm, except during the month of August.
