MORE THAN 200 year 10 Holyrood students took their first look into the working world to sample a variety of career paths.

Students took part in work placements locally and across the country, including Pembrokeshire and Surrey.

The aim of the experience is not just to teach them about their chosen industries, but to learn important life skills such as working with people of varying ages and travelling independently to work.

The students have now returned to the school with a better understand of what their future holds.

According to the school, the feedback from employers has been extremely positive and Mr Reid is very proud of his year group/

Mr Paul Reid said: "I would like to express thanks to all that were involved in providing our students with invaluable access to such rewarding work experience placements."

Any local businesses who would like to offer Holyrood students an opportunity next year, please get in touch with Ali Warren at Holyrood Academy.
