A man has been left devastated after his two dogs were believed to be stolen.

Paul Le Baigue, who lives in Old Cleeve, left his two Border Terrier cross pooches in his garden for ten minutes on Sunday July 10 when he discovered they were gone.

Paul said: "We live in Old Cleeve and we have two small dogs - brother and sister Border Terrier cross - that we've had and raised since eight weeks old.

"They are very good natured and friendly towards everyone they meet.

"They were in our garden in the afternoon of Sunday July 10 and were left alone for about 10 minutes and when I went to find them, they'd gone.

"We presume they've been stolen because their collars were joined with the same leave because in the past, when let out together, they've got through the hedge and escaped.

"I've had them on the same lead before and dense vegetation means they can't get through.

"In the space of 10 minutes they've vanished and can only presume stolen as there's no evidence of an escape plus they wouldn't have got that far being joined together.

"The house isn't the same without them and we're all distraught.

"Have reported to police but they've just filed the report and say it won't be investigated.

"They are both black and tan and are lovely looking dogs."
