THREE men are being hunted by police after a stolen car was driven into a wall in Chard.

The crash happened yesterday at around 7.50pm when a black Audi collided with the wall of a property on the junction between Oaklands Avenue and Avishayes Road.

A spokesman for the Avon and Somerset police said they believe the car involved was stolen.

Three men were seen fleeing the scene. Two men were described as being of skinny build. A third man was of larger build and was wearing a black top and brown shorts.

The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue service was also called to the scene, and made the car safe and helped with some clearing of rubble.

Today, volunteers from Chard skate park helped to clear the remaining debris from the wall.

A group of the youngsters were seen to be clearing away the rubbish from the wall.
