FAMILY and friends will take part in a balloon release this weekend in memory of Wilf Isaacs.

Mr Isaacs was fatally shot dead on Thursday, May 5 at the Chubbard's Cross traveller's site in Ilton in a suspected double shooting.

Another man was also injured in the incident.

Three men, John Broadway, Charlie Broadway and William Broadway, have all been charged with murder and attempted murder following the incident, and will appear before the courts in the coming weeks.

Now, family and friends of 50-year-old Mr Isaacs will release 49 balloons at Ilton cricket club on Friday, which also would have been Mr Isaacs birthday, to remember him.

A post on the group's Facebook page said: "Ladies and gents please share this far and wide, on Friday we will remember not only a brilliant man, but a loving husband, father and grandfather, we will be releasing 49 balloons in honour of big Wilfred's birthday.

"Please make every effort to attend it would be gratefully appreciated to show support to a group who were wrongfully robbed of more than a man.

"Wilf, you'll never walk alone, we love you always and forever, we will never forgot you and neither will your family God bless your soul."
