CHILDREN from a local primary school were paid a visit by the member of parliament for their area.
Marcus Fysh, MP for South Somerset, paid a flying visit to Chard School to meet the children and have a tour of the school’s facilities.
Chard School is an independent preparatory school on Fore Street in the town centre, with children aged from two to 11 attending the school.
He was also joined by the local councillor Amanda Broom as they toured the school.
During the tour, Mr Fysh had a chat with the children, and a spokesman for the school said all of the children enjoyed the event, and were looking forward to welcoming Mr Fysh back to the school in the near future.
