CHILDREN from two schools joined forces to dance the night away at a special event.

Pupils from Holyrood Academy, on Zembard Lane, joined the Kelly Leigh School of Dance to hold a dance event for primary schools.

Pupils spent a session at Kelly Leigh’s purpose built studio and were taught a routine by Miss Kelly herself, prior to a dance-off competition.

Forty pupils learned a dance, practised it and then performed it in front of watching staff and parents.

Participating schools were Avishayes, Buckland, Manor Court, Neroche, Redstart and Tatworth with Redstart – being voted as the winning school.

School sports co-ordinator, Jason Hedaux, said he would like to thank Kelly Leigh for hosting this event and said it was an excellent example of schools and the whole of the local community working together.
