CHARD and Ilminster are set for a downpour today, with heavy rain set to last until 2 o'clock.
In their South West summary, Met Office said: "Rain, heavy at times, will affect all parts this morning.
"There will be some respite around midday, with some brighter breaks, however the rain will return into this afternoon and evening."
The maximum temperature is due to reach around 12°C, before falling to a minimum of 9°C overnight.
In tomorrow's forecast it said: "Any lingering rain will clear through the morning.
"Skies will clear, with some sunny spells developing. Isolated showers are likely into the afternoon. Winds strengthening later with coastal gales likely."
The temperature is again set to peak at 12°C.
