THE Yesterday’s Farming Show is making a welcome comeback to the village of Puckington - a small hamlet of Langport.

John Madge, owner of Manor Farm, has invited organisers back with open arms. For the past four years Yesterday’s Farming has been held at Haselbury Plucknett near Crewkerne and previously it was hosted at Dillington Estate near Ilminster.

Yesterday’s Farming – which is being held this weekend August 15-16, 2015 – is organised each year by the South Somerset Agriculture Preservation Club which was first formed in 1971.

The two-day family show will amaze, education and entertain all visitors and there will be something for everyone.

There will be vintage tractors from down the years, traditional ploughing methods on show, the heavy horses and smaller stationary engines.

The “village green” will be a host for refreshments, while not far away will be a traditional haymaking section and in-house experts will be on hand to answer all your questions.

There will be a parade of tractors through the years, while other displays will include thatching and cider-making.

A country dog show will be held on Sunday.

Admission prices are £7 for adults, £6 for senior citizens and children just a £1, while under-fives are free with a paying adult.
