FUNDRAISERS at St Margaret’s Hospice are asking people from across South Somerset to make Time for Tea and put the kettle on to raise funds to support the charity’s work.

Whether it is about catching up with a friend, sharing memories and laughter or breaking difficult news – it is often over a cuppa that many words are shared.

St Margaret’s Hospice is now hoping that people will make Time for Tea to raise money to help fund the work its does to support those facing life shortening illnesses and their families.

Each home visit by a community nurse costs £126.

“We’d love you to join in the fun and help us fund 150 home visits by one of our community nurse specialists who provide tremendous clinical, emotional and practical support to patients and families,” said a spokesman for St Margaret’s.

“If you can hold a tea party and raise £126 – or send a gift towards our Time for Tea appeal – you will make such a difference to the families and patients we care for.”

To receive a Time for Tea pack – which includes things such as posters and invitations – please call St Margaret’s Hospice on 0845-3459671.

“You never know when you or someone you love may need our support,” added the spokesman.
