PUPILS from Year Nine at Holyrood Academy in Chard have created an fantastic art mural to inspiretheir fellow students through the exam season.
This impressive artwork is displayed at the entrance to the examination hall at Holyrood. The students spent time during art lessons brainstorming inspirational coming up with ideas, colours and concepts tha they could include in their artwork.
Over the course of two weeks , these students worked hard to recreate their ideas on a large scale piece which is now displayed on an external wall at the Academy.
Year 13 students said the mural was brilliant and a great mood-lifter before sitting exams and they thanked the Year Nines for their part in producing the mural.
Holyrood art teacher Brianna Chapple-Hyam said: “The intention is that every year, Year Nines will produce a new mural, until the whole wall is full of motivational artwork to encourage those taking GCSE, A level and BTEC exams.
“Students are really proud to see their work on display and hope it will offer support to their friends.”
