CHARD’S beer lovers, businesses and breweries turned out in force to make the first Chard Beer Fest a resounding success.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Chard, the event featured ales from a 15-mile radius of the town.
The busy weekend of activities and beer sampling at Chard Football Club pulled in a steady stream of punters, and managed to raise £1,400 for Tatworth Pre-school, and Horseshoes and Handprints.
The organisers told the News it was a “fantastic success” and the beer festival would be the first of many.
