Chard Riding for the Disabled on the look-out for volunteers
CHARD and District Riding for the Disabled committee members are seeking volunteers.
The organisation needs helpers for its Thursday evening teenagers ride which meets at Drakes Farm in Ilton.
Committee member Shelley Meaden said: “Experience is not necessary as full training will be given, but you should feel comfortable around horses and be physically fit enough to lead or walk beside a horse or pony.
“Our volunteers help children and adults with physical and/or learning difficulties to ride for therapy, achievement and fun.
“This year, riding starts on April 9 and we meet fortnightly on Thursday evenings.”
