'No more parking restrictions on Helliers Road', say Chard councillors
CHARD Town Council will write to David Laws MP objecting to any introduction of parking bans along a well-used residential road.
The Yeovil constituency MP wrote to the council about parking issues at Helliers Road and Laurel Gardens in the town, outlining a request he had received to restrict onstreet parking.
The council resolved to respond to Mr Laws and Somerset County Council’s Highways team to oppose any further parking restrictions on the roads in question.
