AVISHAYES pupils turned into pups to raise cash for a local cause.
Children at the Chard school dressed as dogs to their lessons and gave £1 each, which will be donated to Ferne Animal Sanctuary.
The school council organised the fundraiser and the youngsters raised £215 for the charity’s New Digs For Dogs campaign.
Year 6 teacher and school council leader Clare Brun praised the efforts of all the children to help raise money to replace the old kennels.
