A MAN was rushed to hospital after being cut free from a car which flipped onto its roof near Chard last night.
Police, fire and ambulances crews were called to the scene on the A358 between Chard and Tatworth at around 5.25pm on Monday evening.
Two fire engines from Chard and the rescue tender from Yeovil attended, and the crews confirmed one car had left the road and was upside down with one casualty trapped inside.
The fire crews cut the man out of the vehicle and gave him oxygen therapy.
South Western Ambulance Service crews arrived to find the casualty conscious and breathing, but was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with back and shoulder injuries.
