Taunton's Musgrove Park Hospital says it has plans in place to manage suspected Ebola patients.
One patient is currently being examined for the symptons of the virus at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro.
The virus had its first confirmed case in the UK yesterday after a female nurse in Glasgow was diagnosed.
Musgrove’s Medical Director, Dr Colin Close, said: “We have comprehensive plans in place in line with national guidance from Public Health England and NHS England, to identify and safely manage any suspected Ebola patients, ensure appropriate treatment, and protect the health of our patients and staff.”
