Fire crews called to free trapped horse in Purtington
FIRE engines from Crewkerne and Chard along with a special rescue vehicle from Bridgwater were sent to a report of a horse stuck in a trailer.
Crews arrived at the scene in Purtington just before 10.30am to find the animal had become stuck over the partition door inside the horse box after attempting to jump through it.
The horse was successfully released and crews left duty of care in hands of the owners and a vet.
